About the seller: Not much to brag about with me. The more that I think that I know, the more I realize that there is so much more that I don't know. Out of all the things that I've done, I would say that I'm a "handyman" more than anything else. But perhaps, not a handyman in the traditional sense of the word that most people would come to expect. Have been involved in music and fine arts type activities for a long time, especially the performing arts. Grew up working with my dad working on apartments that he and my mom owned. My dad and his brothers were home builders. So, I learned a few things along the way about building and also maintaining homes. An actor or musician in over 45 musical theater productions. Taught music and fine arts types courses in public and private schools for many years. Am a multi-instrumentalist as well as singer. Have been involved in all facets of music ministry in Christian churches for over 38 years. These have involved adult and children's choir programs, handbells, hand chimes, organ and piano as well as creating, writing and directing musicals in which church member might participate in various ways. Have played various instruments in concert bands, orchestras and chamber groups. Currently play string bass, percussion and piano with the Quad City Wind Ensemble, which is like the local symphony orchestra, except that it's a concert band. Also have been a piano tuner/technician since 1974. Have tuned, rebuilt and refinished many pianos since starting in that profession.. Hobbies Am an avid vegetable and flower gardener. Have been the secretary and also president for the local horticulture club where I live. Have successfully completed the course to be a Master Gardener. I also love to make and decorate simple folk musical instruments as well as refinish furniture. Philosophy About Life To me, a good part of what life is about is making choices, dealing with the cards that one has been dealt and also weighing the costs as compared to the benefits concerning the choices that we make. Susan Hanford of Geneseo, IL has openings for beginner to advanced students. Times to be mutually arranged with the student. Has studios for teaching in Geneseo, IL as well as Moline, IL.

She has a very strong background playing in orchestras, concert bands, chamber groups and performing the repertoire for solo French Horn. Is currently the principal French Horn player with the Quad City Wind Ensemble.
